Well, if you’ve been on the look out for a beautiful, highly equipped, big block 1969 Chevelle SS, that not only looks fantastic, but absolutely drives as well as it looks, here you go!
Beautiful Garnet Red (original color), with a black vinyl top that is in excellent condition, over an excellent, classic, comfortable black bucket seat interior. Big Block 396 CID with a console shift Turbo 400 3-speed automatic, 12 bolt posi with the perfect gear ratio…Heck, if I stopped right here, that would be enough to perk most any classic Chevy enthusiasts ears!…Right?
Well, this particular Chevelle SS was originally sent to GM Engineering, and as with most highly and rare optioned vehicles of the day, this Chevelle was probably slated for a high ranking GM employee.
It is my understanding that some of the Fiber Optic options weren’t even available until 1970. Nevertheless, suffice it to say that this ’69 Chevelle SS equipped with power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, rear window defogger, lighting group option, full compliment of gauges, to name a few, make this Chevelle one fantastic Musclecar!
The 396 starts up and runs excellent, the big Turbo 400 shifts perfectly, and you may or may not notice when you drive this Chevelle, that there are no squeaks or rattles to drive you crazy!
The under carriage, although not highly detailed is clean, and dry, and void of any rust…That’s important! The factory suspension has been rebuilt as well.
Another fine point is that this Chevelle has had the same owner for the last 30+ years that has kept the Chevelle clean, and very well maintained throughout the years. Additionally, this Chevelle SS has receipts and documents for most all of the parts and work performed.
The bottom line here, is this Chevelle is ready for it’s next lucky owner to enjoy immediately. Maybe that new owner will be you!!
