To state that this Ford Australian Ute is very rare, and quality built would be a huge understatement!
This particular Ute was built by Ford Geelong in Australia in 1934. In 1978 this truck was driven 400 miles across Queensland Australia where it was placed on a ship in Sydney and made it's was to the United States. Portland Oregon to be exact.
As I understand it, there may be one, or possibly two other Roadster Utes in existence, but information on those, if any is scarce.
This particular Truck sat for 20 years or so after being imported to the US, and therefore needed restoration. The Physician that had the Ute imported here, never found the time to restore the truck and sold it to it's current owner who worked tirelessly, and diligently over the course of 15 years to bring this Ute to it's current condition.
Make no mistake, this truck has had an extensive restoration with most all of the work being either performed or consulted by a professional Hotrod shop.
This Truck is truly one of a kind, and although finished in a traditional Hotrod form, it does drive, and perform much better than it would have in it's old stock configuration.
The truck is comfortable to drive also, and all functions and accessories work as they should.
The truck is accompanied by some nice provenance as well, including a photo album of the entire restoration, and receipts of the professional work performed.
This Truck is ready to drive and show, and is sure to be a big hit at the car shows.
Cars and trucks of this era are highly sought after, especially all metal Roadster’s with updates and quality to make them enjoyable to drive in today’s world.
A fine rare truck!
